You’ve chosen where you would like to go for your holiday and you’re already imagining yourself lying on a a hot, sunny beach. But are you a senior traveler planning your holidays and have you arranged your senior travel insurance?

If you are over 64 and looking for travel insurance cover you could run into some problems. Many insurance companies suddenly become reluctant to offer travel insurance to senior travelers for a number of reasons. They don’t want to take what they may see as unnecessary risks. They are in the business of making money and would like nothing more than to never pay out for insurance claims. But senior travelers present additional risks due to their age, possibly declining health and maybe pre-existing medical conditions.

So what can you do as a senior traveler? The first thing to do is not to leave it too late. Its worth making a start in looking around for your travel insurance policy as soon as you possibly can. The more time you have then the more chance you have of finding the right policy at the best price.
