One of the most remarkable things about Las Vegas is that it even exists at all. In the center of a practically waterless desert, it was for decades little more than a stopover for tourists between Utah and Southern California. Of course, Las Vegas is a city that is continually reinventing itself.  You’ll find little in the way of history here. Las Vegas has glamorous night life entertainment, but it also has some pretty great outdoor activities to participate in as well such as traveling to Red Rock Canyon, based only 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas.    There is also Lake Mead as well as the famous Hoover Dam.  Las Vegas really does have something to offer everyone, interesting indoor and outdoor playgrounds.
