Driving In Isle Of Wight
Last weekend we went on a trip to Isle Of Wight from West Midlands. It was about 12 of us and was undecided on which cars to take. At first we thought we will just take 3 of our normal cars, M3, R8 and C30 but then we realised we won’t be able to fit all the gear for our trip on these cars. We researched on the net for cars and read car reviews on which cars to take and the decided to hire out one 4×4 to fit our camping and bbq gears.
We leased 3 ltr Nissan Navara and to be honest it didn’t cost as much as we thought it would the only problem we had was it did drank a lot of petrol. Though I have to say it is a fantastic car to drive, it has massive amount of room to fit your luggage including your campaign gear, chairs, bbq equipments and we even took some woods for some fire in the beach and because you are going on a long drive automatic cars are always relaxing.
After researching online we phoned our local used cars leasing company for a quote. We wanted to hire it for few days and the quote we received was quite surprising to us as it was relevantly cheap. One of the plus point was definitely when we were on the way to Portsmouth to Isle of Wight from London we caught a horrible traffic in M25, I was driving the Nissan Audi R8. We had to catch a ferry from Portsmouth at 4:30pm and as soon as we hit M25 after picking few friends from London it wasn’t looking good until I turn on the navigation system of the Navara, it showed us a different route through M3 but also showed us how much traffic that route had, it was incredible. It was an awesome navigational system. If only me Volvo C30 had the same system. It’s not only the navigation of the Nissan to be honest, the drive was relaxing, great music system, beautiful performance and great speed.
