Clicgear 3 Push Cart – A Perfect Alternative Cart
Clicgear is a renowned name in the world of golf. Their push carts and accessories are par excellence and a big favorite amongst several golf enthusiasts. Clicgear 3.0 push cart is synonymous with this sport. Clicgear’s push cart designs are original and compact and have three wheels. Interestingly, they can also be folded to an unbelievably smaller form and can fit into any corner or enclosure with ease. The dimensions of the push carts are 13” * 15” and 24”. The 3.0 version of the push cart was improved in the year 2010 and carries several improvements over the earlier versions.
One of the striking features is the much improved folding system that makes it much simpler to use. The frame of the cart is made of powder coated aluminum tubing that is aircraft grade. The metal powder coating makes the frame scratch proof. The wheels (large EVA or rubber tires) are new and so is the tire design making it reliable and durable. It comes with an umbrella holder and plenty of other accessories like the storage hanger, sand bottle, umbrella adjust, wheel cover and the foot brush. It was originally introduced in a bright kiwi color and is now offered in eight different colors which include red, orange, black, blue, white, silver and lavender.
This model has a rugged look with frame tubes that are thick, beefy handle bar and quite wide treaded tires. It is light weight and quite easy to handle. It rolls smoothly on hard packed grass or ground but there is a slight challenge on muddy ground, thick, rough or wet grass because of wider tires and hence offers more resistance. The wheel bearings are distinct and hence not prone to damage (due to poor alignment). The handle bar has soft foam like covering which is very comfortable. The adjustments to the bar can be done both in height and the angle it will typically sit at. Hence it can accommodate any kind of user.
There is a nice magnetic compartment below the handle bar that can hold at least 2 golf balls and some quick refreshments. This compartment also has a slight elastic bungee cord above to place the scorecard and the cart also has an area for a 20 oz water bottle. Any push cart’s top functionality is the folding system and this cart satisfies this requirement. A bag can also be fastened to the cart with bungee straps that stretch and hold it firmly. Besides these specifics, there are a few value additions that make the Clicgear push cart a wonderful model for golfers.
The solid hand braking system keeps the cart in place and also works perfectly on steep or inclined slopes. If one is accustomed to a pull cart with automatic brakes, applying the hand brake in the case of a push cart is crucial. At a normal retail price of $199, Clicgear golf cart is recommended for all walking golfers. The looks, features, functionality and performance along with thoughtful additions in this version are certainly laudable.
